    This is a trout species that is now extinct in California, although it is still widely distributed between northern British Columbia and southern Oregon and northern Nevada. Adults reach lengths of just over 100 cm (c. 3 feet). In California, Bull Trout were present in a 100-km (c. 60-mile) section of the McCloud River, near Mount Shasta. The last Bull Trout was captured from the McCloud River in 1975.
